3 Foods to Consider Adding to Your Kitchen:
*Blueberries are full of potassium, Vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants which help protect the body from disease. They only contain 80 calories per cup, and may help to protect us against cancer, heart disease, and diseases associated with aging, such as Alzheimer’s.
*Lentils are found on the bean isle in the grocery store and are high in protein and folic acid. Folic Acid may prevent anemia, is very important for women who are pregnant, and may help relieve hot flashes in menopausal women.
*Seaweed (the green “sheet” used in sushi rolls) is high in iodine which helps regulate nerve function, muscle function, and metabolism. Seaweed is popular in Asian cuisine but is becoming more readily available in grocery stores.
