The Reserve at Lake Keowee presents fourth annual ARTISPHERE Getaway Contest

Artisphere Arts Festival in Greenville SC near Lake Keowee Real EstateNow in its fourth year, The Reserve at Lake Keowee is pleased to once again sponsor the Artisphere Getaway Weekend contest. One lucky winner will receive a complimentary package to enjoy Artisphere, a nationally-ranked outdoor arts festival taking place May 10-12 in downtown Greenville, S.C. The contest has already kicked off and participants can enter to win on the Artisphere website or on The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s website here. Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. on April 28.

One lucky winner will receive a two-night, three-day luxury experience in the nationally-acclaimed upstate of South Carolina. The Westin Poinsett Hotel, the city’s only four-diamond hotel located in the heart of downtown Greenville, S.C., joins the Getaway Contest this year by including a complimentary one-night stay for the winner on the evening of May 10. This historical hotel provides perfect, walking-access to the festival, as well as other must-see Greenville attractions.

On May 11, the winner will enjoy complimentary overnight accommodations within The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s picturesque Guest House, complete with on-site activities at The Reserve, two weekend VIP hospitality passes to Artisphere, and a $250 gift certificate to spend on art while at the festival.

The celebrity commitments and a new celebrity tracker Facebook page for the 13th annual BMW Charity Pro-Am were announced today at the tournament’s Media Day.  The event was held at the BMW Performance Center where sponsors, supporters and guests were also treated to on-track and off-road driving experiences.

Friday, May 11 Concert: The Reserve welcomes Blues Legend Mac Arnold for an outdoor concert at 7pm


Environmental, education, cultural arts and outreach programs from our Community Foundation have long been some of the hidden treasures to life here at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. At 7pm on Friday, May 11, The Reserve Community Foundation takes center stage when it welcomes Blues legend Mac Arnold and his band Plate Full O’Blues for a free outdoor concert.

James Brown played piano in Mac’s first band, and at age 24 Mac joined the Muddy Waters Band which launched his career in music. He went on to perform with the likes of Eric Clapton, Howlin’ Wolfe, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, and B.B. King. While living in Los Angeles Mac also played on the TV sets of Soul Train and Sanford & Son.

The 2012 Blues Music Awards will be announced on May 10th—the night before his concert at The Reserve. Mac is nominated for the “Traditional Blues Male Artist” category.

Video: Open-air ice skating rink starts a cool, new holiday tradition on Main Street Greenville

If you’re visiting Upstate South Carolina this holiday season, be sure to take a spin around UBS Ice On Main—Greenville’s new outdoor skating rink at the Courtyard Marriott on Main Street.  Opening ceremonies for the inaugural season are at 10:30am on Friday 11/25.  Skating hours are from 11am – 9pm daily from November 25th to January 8th.  Day passes are $10 for adults and $8 for children.

Video: Fall for Greenville Festival celebrates 30th anniversary with music, food, and fun along Main Street

Short game expert Dave Pelz, instructor for PGA Tour professionals such as Phil Mickelson and former Clemson standout Kyle Stanley, recently visited The Reserve at Lake Keowee to shoot photos for an upcoming series of articles in Golf Magazine. Dave’s team spent their mornings along the lake, exploring our Jack Nicklaus Signature Course for the perfect backdrop. Reserve members welcomed Dave at the Orchard House clubhouse and event lawn during an evening reception and putting contest.

During his visit, Dave was interviewed by Clemson’s flagship radio station The Drive 104.9 where he commented “I have never personally seen a lake more beautiful than Keowee.”
