Video: Artist-in-Residence Martha Beaudrot performs at The Reserve

The Reserve Community Foundation welcomed accomplished pianist Martha Beaudrot and her former student Ethan Flowe for a live concert performance in October at Founders Hall in the Village Center.  Martha was selected as a 2011 Reserve Artist-in-Residence along with guitarist Jhon Akers who performed at The Reserve in August.

The Reserve Community Foundation welcomed classical guitarist John Akers in late August for a live concert performance at Founders Hall in the Village Center. During his Reserve Artist-in-Residence visit, Jhon also instructed a class in the ancient Chinese art of Qigong, and led an expedition to the Carl Sandburg home in Flat Rock, NC.

Accomplished pianist Martha Beaudrot, also a 2011 Reserve Artist-in-Residence, will visit The Reserve in October.

Ed Beardsley performs “Bully, The Life and Times of Theodore Roosevelt” a selection from the SC Humanities Council’s Humanities Out Loud Series.

Founders Hall echoed with the sound of history as Ed Beardsley performed “Bully, The Life and Times of Theodore Roosevelt” a selection from the SC Humanities Council’s Humanities Out Loud Series.

This one-man show is performed Chautauqua style, allowing the audience to interact with Teddy Roosevelt by asking questions about his life after the initial performance.
